Construction Marketing Daily Tips: Opportunities in Housing Refurbishment

Despite the general doom, there are still pockets of opportunity. "Retrofit for the Future" is one of these. The Technology Strategy Board has £10 million of funding to find "radical, innovative solutions" to the housing refurbishment challenge. They will be funding at least 50 retrofit demonstrators within the existing social housing stock. This represents an ideal opportunity for companies to get their products included in the renovation of properties which will result from the Government's Heat and Energy Saving Strategy, and at the very least it is an ideal opportunity to showcase products. There are a series of free Project Brokering Workshops being run around the country, starting on 22nd April in Glasgow and finishing on 22nd May in Belfast. This sounds like an opportunity not to be missed.
